This is what greets you on the homepage. R U kidding me? I like anything that compliments me before I even have to scroll. In love.
While doing research on Brighton Collectibles, a brand I have been fairly familiar with for the last decade or so due to a potentially Brighton-obsessed aunt, I stumbled upon My Flat In London, Brighton's recent brand extension.
GAME. CHANGER.
While even their store distribution (absent from urban areas and retail hubs like NYC and downtown LA) lets us know that they cater to the suburban mom type in semi-uppercrust neighborhoods of Middle America, this new collection shows they're not as simple as I thought.
The entire collection is English in theme, from bracelet and handbag charms shaped as crowns and old-fashioned telephone boxes, to, duh, the name of the collection itself, and is without a doubt targeted to a younger audience.
But Brighton still holds onto its trademark sense of whimsy. Instead of sterling silver scrolls and unending hearts, My Flat In London incorporates cheeky sayings, queen bees (literally), and an abundant use of rhinestones. Just how I like it.
Today's Three Things:
Sister 1: Bristol Convertible
A cross-body. It's practical and practically perfect in every way. And so chic, n'est ce pas? Because I can sense that Sister 1 might be put off by the sewn in 4" top handles, I counter offer with the addition of this police box-esque charm to accessorize this bag. I know it will bring her joy via her love for Doctor Who and she will be able to overlook anything she might not absolutely love about this bag.
Sister 2: Eaton Tote
One never knows what one may need while attending to America's wildlife. Not so much a bag girl, Sister 2 does sometimes frequent a large-ish tote/briefcase when she needs to carry anything more than a debit card. She can pretty much carry anything she wants in this. It's not too flashy, is constructed of durable leather with sturdy metal cleats on the bottom, and hey! it even pays tribute to her alma mater (see additional views that show blue being more royal than navy).
Sister 3: Put simply, I need it all. But here are some of my favorites.
Broker Bowler, in royal blue
Ashby Small Handheld Satchel, in Champagne-Marshmallow
